1. Perishable Goods (Live Plants & Seedlings)

 

Due to the delicate and perishable nature of our live plants and seedlings, our policy for these items is as follows:

  • Notification Period: If your live plant or seedling order arrives damaged, diseased, or significantly different from what you ordered, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Proof Required: To facilitate your claim, you must provide clear photographic evidence of the damaged or incorrect item(s) within the 48-hour notification period. This helps us understand the issue and improve our packaging and handling processes.

  • Assessment: Upon receiving your notification and photographic evidence, we will assess the situation. This may involve contacting you for further information or clarification.

  • Resolution: If your claim is approved, we will, at our discretion, offer one of the following solutions:

    • Replacement: A replacement of the damaged or incorrect item(s), subject to availability.

    • Store Credit: A credit of equivalent value for use on future purchases.

    • Refund: A full or partial refund to your original payment method.

  • Conditions: We cannot accept returns or offer refunds for live plants where the issue is due to improper care, environmental conditions after delivery (e.g., lack of watering, frost damage, pests in your garden), or normal variations in plant appearance.

 

2. Non-Perishable Goods (e.g., Pots, Tools, Accessories)

 

For non-perishable items purchased from Golden Meadows Nursery (PTY) LTD, our return and refund policy is:

  • Return Period: You may return non-perishable goods within 7 days of delivery if they are unused, in their original packaging, and in a re-saleable condition.

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation email or invoice) is required for all returns.

  • Refund/Exchange: Upon inspection and approval of the returned item, we will offer either:

    • Exchange: An exchange for another item of equivalent value.

    • Store Credit: A store credit for the value of the item.

    • Refund: A refund to your original payment method, excluding any original shipping charges.

  • Return Shipping: The cost of returning non-perishable goods is the responsibility of the customer, unless the item was faulty or incorrectly supplied by us.

 

3. General Refund Information

 

  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of approval, though it may take additional time for the funds to appear in your account depending on your bank or payment provider.

  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping costs are generally non-refundable, except in cases where the product was faulty, damaged upon arrival (for live goods), or incorrectly supplied by Golden Meadows Nursery (PTY) LTD.
