At Golden Meadows Nursery (PTY) LTD, we are committed to ensuring your plants and gardening products arrive safely and efficiently. We take great care in packaging your order to protect it during transit.

 

1. Shipping Regions

 

We currently offer shipping services to addresses within South Africa only. We are unable to ship internationally at this time.

 

2. Shipping Carriers & Methods

 

We partner with reputable third-party courier services to ensure reliable delivery. The specific carrier used for your order may vary based on your location and the size/nature of your purchase.

 

3. Order Processing Time

 

  • All orders are typically processed and dispatched from our nursery within 2-5 business days of successful payment confirmation.

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

  • During peak seasons (e.g., spring, major sales, public holidays), processing times may be slightly extended. We will endeavour to communicate any significant delays.

 

4. Estimated Delivery Time-frames

 

Once dispatched, estimated delivery times are as follows:

  • Major Metropolitan Areas (e.g., Gauteng, Cape Town, Durban): 2-4 business days

  • Regional Areas: 3-7 business days

  • Remote/Rural Areas: 5-10 business days

5. Shipping Costs

 

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, and your specific delivery address.

  • The exact shipping fee will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.

  • From time to time, we may offer promotional free shipping for orders exceeding a certain value. Any such promotions will be clearly advertised.

 

6. Shipping Live Plants

 

  • Live plants are carefully packaged to ensure their safety and freshness during transit. This may involve specialised packaging materials and techniques.

  • To minimise transit stress, we typically dispatch live plant orders early in the week (Monday-Wednesday) to avoid plants being held in courier depots over weekends.

  • While we take every precaution, the successful establishment of live plants post-delivery depends on timely unpacking and appropriate care by the customer. Please refer to our Refund Policy for concerns regarding live plant condition upon arrival.

 

7. Order Tracking

 

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number and a link to the courier's website, allowing you to monitor the progress of your delivery.

 

8. Delivery Acceptance & Inspection

 

  • Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the package.

  • Upon receipt, please inspect your order immediately for any signs of damage or missing items.

  • If you notice any damage to the packaging or contents, please make a note of it with the courier's delivery personnel (if possible) and contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence (especially for live plants) so we can assist you promptly.

 

9. Undeliverable Packages

 

  • If a package is undeliverable due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, refusal of delivery, or repeated failed delivery attempts, the package may be returned to us.

  • In such cases, additional shipping charges may apply for re-delivery, or a refund (minus original shipping costs and any return fees incurred) may be issued at our discretion.
