Chamomile Roman

Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile), also known as English chamomile, is a low-growing, fragrant perennial herb typically forming a spreading mat of finely dissected, apple-scented foliage. It produces small, daisy-like flowers with white petals and yellow centers. While sometimes confused with German chamomile, Roman chamomile is a true perennial and is valued for its calming and soothing properties. Historically, it has been used in herbal teas to promote relaxation, ease anxiety, and aid in sleep. Topically, its essential oil, when diluted, is popular in skincare for irritated skin, and in massage for muscle aches and inflammation due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It's also sometimes used as a fragrant ground cover or even as a low-traffic lawn alternative.
