Onion 'Texas Grano'

Onion 'Texas Grano' (Allium cepa) is a popular short-day yellow onion variety well-suited to warmer climates like parts of South Africa. It produces large, globe-shaped bulbs with a mild, sweet flavour and a light yellow skin. 'Texas Grano' onions are excellent for fresh eating in salads and sandwiches due to their mildness, and they are also suitable for grilling, caramelising, and cooking in various dishes where a less pungent onion flavour is desired. They don't store as long as some other varieties.
