Parsley - Moss Curled

Moss curled parsley (Petroselinum crispum crispum) is a popular biennial herb easily identified by its dense, tightly curled, vibrant green foliage, which forms a beautiful, almost moss-like texture. While it possesses the characteristic fresh, clean flavour of parsley, it is generally milder than its flat-leaf counterpart, making it less overwhelming in delicate dishes. In South Africa, it is primarily celebrated for its ornamental appeal and its exceptional ability to hold its shape, making it an ideal and widely used garnish for plated dishes, soups, and buffets, adding both visual appeal and a subtle hint of herbaceousness.
